pEven though this will be his 15th opener, Terrell Owens still gets the same nervous anticipation for it. He's also feeling like a rookie again since he signed with the Bengals on the first day of training camp and is still working his way through learning the offense./p p"We still have a lot of newness to this offense," he said. "There is a lot of learning on my end to get adjusted and acclimated to what is going on here."/p pEven though the Patriots have a pair of young cornerbacks that he and Chad Ochocinco might be able to exploit on Sunday, Owens still says that it's a Bill Belichick defense and that they will be formidable./p p"I would hope Belichick would have the best game for his team and his defense to stop the dynamic duo," Owens said.

Superstar quarterback Tom Brady has agreed to a lucrative contract extension with the New England Patriots, giving him the highest average salary in the NFL. SI.com's Peter King first reported the news on the halftime show of the Vikings-Saints season opener, and said Patriots owner Robert Kraft told him the deal would officially be announced Friday. The deal tacks four years onto Brady's existing contract, keeping the two-time Super Bowl MVP in New England through the end of the 2014 season.
