New York Yankees left-hander Andy Pettitte pitched four shutout innings in a minor league rehab start Thursday night and said it felt good to be back on the mound. Pettitte allowed two hits and struck out four in Double-A Trenton's Eastern League playoff game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Police searched the offices of the Toronto Blue Jays and turned over documents in connection with the perjury case against seven-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens. Two officers executed the search in June and assisted the U.S. Justice Department by forwarding the two boxes they obtained, police spokesman Const.

Nick Swisher hit a two-run homer off Koji Uehara in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday to give the New York Yankees a 3-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. With the Orioles closing in on their first three-game sweep in the Bronx since 1986, Alex Rodriguez opened the ninth with a single on the first pitch from Uehara (1-1).
