But he did make sure Teahen was not starting there Thursday./p pIt was Teahen's two throwing errors in Wednesday's loss to Detroit that convinced Guillen to make the move, which meant that rookie Brent Morel was given the starting nod./p pSo what's next for Teahen, who was acquired from Kansas City in the winter and then immediately given a three-year, $14 million extension?/p p"We'll move him around," Guillen said. "I'm not saying I'm going to take him out of third base, because you may see him back at third base again. I'm not going to try and take the confidence away from the kid.

Their goal of winning the AL Central all but gone, the Detroit Tigers are embracing their role as spoilers. Johnny Damon had a season-high four hits, scored two runs and drove in one, helping Detroit beat Chicago 6-3 Thursday and hand the White Sox their third straight loss. The Tigers have won six of eight to get back above .500 for the first time since July 31.

The Chicago White Sox activated reliever J.J. Putz from the disabled list before Thursday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Putz had been sidelined since Aug. 25 with tendinitis in his right knee. He is 6-5 with a 2.88 ERA in 50 games this season. He has struck out 55 in 47 innings.
