A tale of two seasons redux.
In 2010 under coach Chan Gailey, Buffalo started 0-8 and finished 4-4. In 2011, a 5-2 start had the masses excited again, but fans were let down by a 1-8 finish that included a seven-game losing streak.
While injuries were a major factor?Buffalo lost seven starters, including running back Fred Jackson, center Eric Wood and nose tackle Kyle Williams?general manager Buddy Nix was still surprised by the magnitude of his club's nosedive.
"It was fun to see the fans and this city get as excited as they did," Nix said. "(But) there's no excuse for losing seven games in a row; that was a complete downer and a complete surprise."
